About Baseline
Baseline was built by Liam, a multi-sport endurance athlete and data engineer based in Melbourne, Australia. He was running 215 activities through 8 different platforms (Strava, WHOOP, Garmin, Apple Health, Oura, and more) and writing his own Python scripts to make sense of the data. Eventually he realised the scripts were the product, so he built Baseline.
Mission
Most athlete apps treat their users as passive consumers of data. Baseline treats athletes as active practitioners - people who want to understand their training, not just see it. We believe the relationship between an athlete and their data should be guided, not managed; augmented, not automated. Everything we build respects that principle.
Privacy
Baseline is privacy-first. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use it to train third-party AI models. All processing happens in Google Cloud (us-central1). You can export all your data as JSON at any time and permanently delete your account with a 30-day grace window. We use Plausible for cookieless analytics, with no tracking across sessions or devices. Read our privacy policy for the full breakdown.
